DRIVING AT THE DRIFT GAMES BASH IN MONDELLO PARK ON FEBRUARY 16TH & 17TH, 2019? PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE READ THIS DRIVER INFORMATION PACK IN FULL AND ARE AWARE OF ALL TIMES, REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION.
WHAT IS THE DRIFT GAMES BASH?
The Drift Games Bash isn’t just two days of open drift track time and an incredible party, it’s so much more!
Alongside our good friends at Club Loose Ireland, we have devised the most unique set of drift layouts that aim to test and challenge drivers of any skill or machinery level.
If you are looking to book either half or full Mondello Park garage for the Drift Games Bash, the cost is €150 for a half garage and €300 for a full garage, which can be booked now by calling the Mondello Park office on 045 860 200. A full garage will hold a maximum of 4 cars, and a half garage will hold 2 cars.
No drivers or spectators can arrive or camp on Friday, February 15th.
All drivers must arrive between 7.00am to 7.30am on Saturday, February 16th. All drivers must arrive well before the time they are due on track in order to unload their car, move their trailer to the designated trailer parking area, sign-on for the event and attend driver briefing.
Each driver is allowed ONE support vehicle in the paddock area as space is extremely limited. All other vehicles must be parked in the public car park.
The diagram below shows the location for trailer parking, the camping area and more.
Access to the trailer parking area is available from 7.00am until 9.30am. After that time, there will be no access to the trailer parking area until the track closes for the day.
To access the campsite during the active track hours, spectators must walk around the outer perimeter of the track, towards the campsite area. After the track has closed, there will be a walking route available across the track to access the campsite area quicker.
HAVE A TENT, CAMPER OR CARAVAN
All tents, campers, and caravans must be placed in the designated camping zone, highlighted on the map above,

Driver sign-on and briefing will take place in Suite 8 (the Grand Prix suite) in Mondello Park.
Sign on will be from 8.15am to 9.00am on Saturday morning and 9.00am to 9.15am on Sunday morning. Driver briefing will follow sign-on and be held from 9.00am to 9.30am on Saturday morning and from 9.15am to 9.45am on Sunday morning.
On Saturday morning, all drivers competing in the DGN licensing day must stay back after 9.30am for a further 20 minute briefing on the DGN licensing competition.
SIGN-ON REQUIREMENTS & DRIVER TICKETS
For driver sign-on, please bring your full driving license with you and also either a printed or email copy of the confirmation email you received when you purchased your driver ticket online from the Drift Games website. This email will need to show your order number, which will be in the format of #1234-DG. This is your driver ticket for the event.
At sign-on, you will be given your driver wristband for the event to prove you have signed-on and you will also be given a unique driver class sticker that will need to be placed on the windscreen of your car.
If you are competing in the 2019 Link ECU Drift Games Nationals licensing event, you will also be given a unique driver number sticker to be placed on your windscreen in order for the judges to accurately mark your runs.
If you and someone else will be double-driving one car at the Drift Games Bash, the cost of signing on an additional driver is €75.00.
This fee is payable online when paying your entry fee, or at sign-on (payable by cash or card) and both drivers must be paid, signed-on and briefed before going on track.
To drive at this event, regardless of whether you’ll be driving a street car or a drift car, your car must have/adhere to the following set of rules and regulations in order to be allowed on track:

- Fixed back or recliner bucket seat;
- Minimum 4-point harness;
- No fluid leaks whatsoever;
- Noise level not to exceed 105db, and;
- Full body panels on the car at the start of the weekend.
Any driver wishing to be in the Pro class must ensure their car also has a full roll-cage, in addition to the above car regulations.
If your car does not meet the above requirements, you will not be allowed on track and you will also not receive a refund for not having your car meet the requirements for the event.
Both Drift Games and Club Loose marshals and staff reserve the right to check your car at any time if they feel your car does not meet one or all of the requirements above and if they deem your car to be unfit to go on track, you will be removed from the track either until the car is fixed or for the rest of the event. - Pro (Queuing lane for the Pro Class)
- Pits (Queuing lane to return to the pits)
The start line marshal will release cars from each lane sporadically.
The layouts for each day can be seen below, as well as the competition layout that will be used for the DGN licensing competition on the Saturday afternoon.
