Drift Games Bash Driver Info

Driving at the next Drift Games Bash event? You MUST ensure you have read this Driver Information Pack in full and are aware of all times, requirements and information explained within it.

Driver Arrival Times & Info

No drivers or spectators can arrive or camp on Friday, August 7th 2020.

All drivers must arrive between 7.00am to 7.30am on Saturday, August 8th. All drivers must arrive well before the time they are due on track in order to unload their car, move their trailer to the designated trailer parking area, sign-on for the event and attend driver briefing.

Each driver is allowed ONE support vehicle in the paddock area as space is extremely limited. All other vehicles must be parked in the public car park.

The diagram below shows the location for trailer parking, the camping area and more.

Access to the trailer parking area is available from 7.00am until 9.30am. After that time, there will be no access to the trailer parking area until the track closes for the day.

To access the campsite during the active track hours, spectators must walk around the outer perimeter of the track, towards the campsite area. After the track has closed, there will be a walking route available across the track to access the campsite area quicker.

Have a Tent, Camper or Caravan?

All tents, campers, and caravans must be placed in the designated camping zone, highlighted on the map below, as tents, campers or caravans cannot be setup or left in the paddock area beside your drift car.

Driver Sign-On & Briefing

All drivers must be signed on by Drift Games staff once prior to going on track at the Drift Games Bash and all drivers must also have attended BOTH  driver briefings. Driver sign-on and briefing will take place in Suite 8 (the Grand Prix suite) in Mondello Park.

Sign on will be from 8.15am to 9.30am on Saturday morning. Driver briefing will follow sign-on and be held from 9.30am to 10.15am on Saturday morning and from 6.30pm to 7.00pm on Saturday evening.

Sign-On Requirements & Driver Tickets

For driver sign-on, please bring your full driving license with you and also either a printed or email copy of the confirmation email you received when you purchased your driver ticket online from the Drift Games website. This email will need to show your order number, which will be in the format of #1234-DG. This is your driver ticket for the event.

At sign-on, you will be given your driver wristband for the event to prove you have signed-on.

Double Drive Fees

If you and someone else will be double-driving one car at the Drift Games Bash, the cost of signing on an additional driver is €75.00.

This fee is payable online when paying your entry fee, or at sign-on (payable by cash or card) and both drivers must be paid, signed-on and briefed before going on track.

Car, Driver & Passenger Requirements

If you’re unsure about our Car, Driver & Passenger regulations we have in place for all Drift Games Bash events, please read the latest regulations on the main Drift Games Bash event page.

Driving Under The Influence

If you are thought to be over the legal drink-drive limit, you may be breathalyzed by Mondello Park staff. If you read above the limit, you will not be allowed on track and your entry fee will not be refundable.

If you are thought to be under the influence of any illegal drugs or substances and are attempting to go on track, you will also not be allowed on track and your entry fee will not be refundable.

You are also reminded that drugs are illegal and are not, under any circumstances to be brought onto or taken by any individual onto the Mondello Park premises. If any person is found to be in possession of such substances, the decision may be taken to involve the Gardaí in the matter.

Tire Changing Facilities

Tire changing facilities will be available from 9.00am on each day of the event and will come at a cost of €3.00 per tire change. Please make sure you have tires on rims before coming to Mondello Park and are not relying on getting tires sorted at 9.00am, as this will cause a backlog.

Starting Of Vehicles

No cars are to be started before 9.00am on both mornings of the event or after 6.00pm. Doing so may result in you being removed from the event without any chance of a refund.

Littering & Oil Spills

It is not permitted for any driver, passenger or spectator to litter or spill oil/fluid at any point throughout the event. Any litter (including used tires) or fluid discovered will result in a €250.00 fine, with no exceptions.

Paddock Conduct

Testing of cars, donuts, drifting or fast driving of any sort in the paddock or pit-lane is not permitted at any time by any driver. Doing so may result in your removal from the event without refund. This is for public safety and as such all drivers MUST obey by this rule at all times.

No drift cars must be started or driven after 6pm on both days of the event.

Anti-social behaviour will be met with a lifetime Mondello Park ban.

Track Layouts

Think of the Drift Games Bash as Disneyland for drift cars. At any given time there are 3 unique layouts available for you to drive. Think of them like individual rides. You must make your way safely to each and find the correct queue.

Each of these layouts has 3 different queuing lanes; ProHero, and Pits

  1. Hero (Queuing lane for the Hero Class)
  2. Pro (Queuing lane for the Pro Class)
  3. Pits (Queuing lane to return to the pits)

The start line marshal will release cars from each lane sporadically.

The layouts for each day can be seen below.

Crew Tickets

All driver passes include entry to the event for the driver only.

Any persons or crew coming with a driver must have a valid admission ticket at a cost of €50 for a one person weekend camping ticket, €75 for a two person weekend camping ticket or €15 for single day admission-only ticket. Tickets can be purchased from the Mondello Park website.

Admission from 6PM-10PM on Saturday, August 8th is €30 and includes camping. Gates close at 10PM on Saturday, August 8th and no one will be able to enter after this without a valid wristband.

Anyone who has purchased admission-only tickets must leave the premises by 6.30pm.

Crew Responsibility

All drivers who are driving at the Drift Games Bash are directly responsible for the conduct of any crew, family members or friends who are with them at the event.

If any persons with a driver are deemed to be disturbing the peace, drunk and disorderly or are causing trouble at the event, they will be removed from the event and your driver ticket for the event will also be revoked, with no chance of a refund.

Driver Ticket Name Change

Driver tickets for the Drift Games Bash are non-refundable but you can transfer the ticket to someone else if they have purchased it from you, for the reason that you are legitimately no longer able to make the event.

To do so, please contact us by emailing hey@driftgames.life and let us know your order number and the name and email address to transfer the driver ticket to.

After Party

The Drift Games After-Party will take place in the Mondello Park bar from 8.00pm until late.

You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol into the bar.

Regular bar rules apply and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

All further questions will be answered at driver briefing, but for any immediate or urgent questions, please click here to email us. Please do understand that we are very busy during the build-up to this event, so unless the request is urgent, we will answer your query at the driver briefing.
