What Are The Requirements?

Whether you want to drive at a Drift Games Bash event, jump into the passenger or just come along for the party, there’s a few rules & regulations everyone must adhere to. Check them out below now before booking your tickets to make sure you meet all the necessary criteria.

Driver & Vehicle Rules & Regulations

Car Regulations:

All vehicles being used at any Drift Games Bash event must have:

  • Tow straps/hooks front and rear;
  • Fixed back or recliner bucket seat;
  • Minimum 4-point harness;
  • No fluid leaks whatsoever;
  • Noise level NOT EXCEEDING 105db, and;
  • Full body panels on the car at the start of the event.

Any driver wishing to take passengers must ensure their passenger seat is also a fixed back or recliner bucket seat and also has a minimum 4-point harness.

Any driver wishing to be in the Pro class must ensure their car also has a full roll-cage, with door bars, in addition to the above car regulations.

Driver Regulations:

All drivers who intend on driving at any Drift Games Bash event must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older with a full driving license, or;
  • Be a currently licensed DGN, DGX, IDC, BDC, IDS, IADC or DriftCup driver, or;
  • Be between the ages of 16-18 and complete the U18 Drift Games Experience Safety Assessment prior to the event.
  • Must wear a full-face helmet at all times when on track, with a fully functional clasp/strap.

U18 Drift Games Experience Safety Assessment:

If you are aged between 16-18 and looking to get out on track at the Drift Games Bash, you must complete the U18 Drift Games Experience Safety Assessment prior to booking your ticket.

The main aim of the safety assessment is to determine your skill level behind the wheel while undertaking a number of manoeuvres you will need to safely participate at any Drift Games Bash. This is to ensure the safety of not only you, the participant, but all other track users over the course of a Drift Games Bash weekend. Once you successfully complete and pass the assessment, you will be required to enter the HERO class.

The safety assessment will take place in the paddock of Mondello Park, Kildare under the instruction of a Drift Games Experience instructor while behind the wheel of the Drift Games Experience 350Z.

The safety assessment only needs to be completed once and will carry through until you reach 18 years of age.

The cost for the U18 Drift Games Experience Safety Assessment is €229. For more details about booking an assessment, contact us via email at hey@driftgames.life now.

Driver Classes:

Before you hit the track, you will be placed into either Hero or Pro class. You must have a full roll cage with door bars in place to enter the Pro class.

Hero Class:
Want to hit our various layouts without the fear of being surrounded by other cars? The hero class is perfect for beginners, drivers of cars with less than 220bhp or those with purpose-built drift cars that do not meet the full safety requirements of the Pro class.

Pro Class:
Do you compete in a series and have a car that meets all competition regulations? Well, say hello to endless high-speed door on door action in the Pro class.
