One License To Rule Them All – DGN Shakes Things Up!

The highly anticipated Link ECU Drift Games Nationals (DGN) kicks off on Sunday, March 31st in Mondello Park and in many ways it has become the most experimental drift series in the world, with all drivers now restricted by a control tyre, aiming to make the championship as fair as possible.

While the initial plan was to run two classes, Pro and Pro-Am, the championship will now run one National class with 75 drivers competing for the title of Link ECU Drift Games Nationals Champion.

To make things even more competitive, the biggest prize in European drifting will be on the line! The winner will take home a custom Race Sport 4 enclosed trailer from Brian James Trailers worth €10,000. Now we have a fight on our hands!

Check out our full list of season dates below now or on our DGN event calendar page, and if you’re coming to Round 1 on March 31st, check out our full event information page by clicking here, where you’ll find information on tickets, schedules and lots more.

ROUND 1 – MONDELLO PARK – MARCH 31ST, 2019

We kick off the first ever Link ECU Drift Games Nationals at the home of Irish motorsport, Mondello Park.

With 75 championship hopefuls, ranging from complete beginners to established pros ready to throw down, a brand new layout was needed to separate the grid.

With all drivers now on an equalised playing field, we will find out who has the skill to win at DGN Showdown.

ROUND 2 – WATERGRASSHILL – MAY 5TH, 2019

There is nothing quite like watching two competitors fire their machines over the hill at Adventureworld, and we are all set for another weekend of tandem action that only this Cork venue can provide.

With a high-speed entry and numerous hairpins, this layout challenges driver resolve like no other. When the dust finally settles, who will be crowned Link ECU Drift Games Nationals King of The Hill?

ROUND 3 – EIKON CENTRE – JULY 7TH, 2019

Northern Ireland’s biggest JDM car show will play host to the penultimate round of the Link ECU Drift Games Nationals. 5,000 people, 300 show cars and now 75 drift competitors; this is the event Northern drift fans have been waiting for.

A challenging custom-built layout will test the very best and decide who will be in the Link ECU Drift Games Nationals championship hunt ahead of our final round.

ROUND 4 – PUNCHESTOWN – AUGUST 24TH, 2019

One of Ireland’s most iconic venues returns as the stage for our grand finale.

Trading horse racing for horsepower, Punchestown offers up the most challenging layout drivers will attempt all season. With nothing to lose and a long off-season ahead, expect competitors to go for broke here.

The Link ECU Drift Games Nationals champions will be crowned this August. Don’t miss the fireworks!
